A New Year (An Update)

It’s 2019 the year we’re supposed to be in flying cars hunting down human looking robots whilst looking like Han Solo in a bleak dystopian future (hopefully some will get the Blade Runner references), so with a new year comes brand new things.

Thank you to everyone who has found this blog and has read these stories I’ve looked at the statistics and there have been several logins from all around the world, it really means a lot to me this has been completely alien to me to make this stuff public but I’m loving it, right last year was the release of The Expedition, Gigarrah, The Edge, Red Deer and Gigarrah: Aftermath, these tales are part of what I’m calling VOLUME ONE: MONSTERS IN THE DARK.

So by having a Volume One you know what that means?...
Prepare for the tales of Volume Two which begins with the Sky of Thunder (A Titan Story)

Look forward to seeing you all around the campfire.

Dust off the cobwebs

Hey Firelight Wanderers   Just a bit of an update haven’t been in the mood to write at the moment with work, increase in rent and bills, and all the shit that’s a been happening in the world my mental health took a right kick in the nuts a few weeks ago. However I’ve taken some time to refresh myself avoid the doom scrolling on Twitter and finally dusted of the keyboard of my laptop and ready to get back to it.

My Apologies

To all my weary travellers and firelight wanderers. I haven't been as active on my blog with my writing for a while and that is because several months ago my husband was diagnosed with a tumour in his brain, it's a benign one so he's ok but he is currently going through radiotherapy to help with its growth and to hopefully reduce the tumour's size. I am still and always will be 100% committed to The Ember Lights but I'm also 100% committed to my husband and his care and support comes first, over time I am doing story writing but in smaller increments. I look forward to you coming to the campfire and I promise more tales are coming. Much love to you all Martyn Sudlow-McKay P.S. I will be giving a taster for another Handbridge Horror No 3 titled THE GRINNING MAN

REIGN (Preview)

PROLOGUE: Blood & Curses EGYPT, 4 th CENTURY The great city of Ahkhann was once the glimmering jewel of Egypt a capital of culture, literature and trading goods and was the home of the Pharaoh Re’hotpe, a great man loved by the people of his empire which he ruled for many years. The city twinkled with fire lights and the royal palace was bathed in ethereal moonlight as Re’hotpe was stood on the balcony of his chambers looking out of over Ahkhann, he gazed in wonder and amazement at the colossal pyramid that was being constructed, even incomplete it looked beautiful with the torches fires and the moon gave the pyramid a hazy like glow a monument worthy of a Pharaoh, he left his chambers walking slowly down the hallway lost in his thoughts as passing servants bowed to him, as Re’hotpe continued on his walk his stone mason appeared and approached him, the stone mason bowed when he stopped in front of the Pharaoh “My Lord” Re’hotpe smiled at the man “Ah just the ...
