Announcement!

Hey Firelight Wanderers
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted but things have been in development, I’ve been writing a couple of stories still working on an ending for Sirens and I’m almost finished with Gigarrah II.

But the other reason it’s been so long is that I’ve been toying with an idea and I have finally made a decision, I have decided that I’m going to write The Ember Lights as an actually book with the plan (if it’s good enough) to get it published. The current stories that I have written will be the bulk of this collection which will be titled Compendium and I will be adding a few new ones that I’ve come up, it’s a three part book and each part will contain seven stories.

The Compendium isn’t going to be a massive book far very far from it but I love the idea of small collection of stories that someone could pull out of their bag and just read on a train or in a cafe, even for a moment just for them to get lost in a story. This is something that I’m really excited about and I hope it does come true (I’ve heard publishers can be brutal) and if does happen I have plan not only for a second volume but I want to do a solo collection of my Titans stories.

I will try and post more info on here if I can but I am very active on the Ember Lights twitter page @LightsEmber with upcoming news, I’ve even designed myself a new logo which I love. So much love my Firelight Wanderers and see you around the campfire soon.

Dust off the cobwebs

Hey Firelight Wanderers   Just a bit of an update haven’t been in the mood to write at the moment with work, increase in rent and bills, and all the shit that’s a been happening in the world my mental health took a right kick in the nuts a few weeks ago. However I’ve taken some time to refresh myself avoid the doom scrolling on Twitter and finally dusted of the keyboard of my laptop and ready to get back to it.

My Apologies

To all my weary travellers and firelight wanderers. I haven't been as active on my blog with my writing for a while and that is because several months ago my husband was diagnosed with a tumour in his brain, it's a benign one so he's ok but he is currently going through radiotherapy to help with its growth and to hopefully reduce the tumour's size. I am still and always will be 100% committed to The Ember Lights but I'm also 100% committed to my husband and his care and support comes first, over time I am doing story writing but in smaller increments. I look forward to you coming to the campfire and I promise more tales are coming. Much love to you all Martyn Sudlow-McKay P.S. REIGN (Preview)

PROLOGUE: Blood & Curses EGYPT, 4 th CENTURY The great city of Ahkhann was once the glimmering jewel of Egypt a capital of culture, literature and trading goods and was the home of the Pharaoh Re’hotpe, a great man loved by the people of his empire which he ruled for many years.
