Well damn I didn't think I see this page again, it's been a really long time well over 2 years but as I've said on other platforms, over that time a lot has happened of having to move home from England to Scotland, then having a little bit of a mental health break whilst up there and whilst doing that I found a reignited love for drawing which I've not done for a while so that has taken up a lot of my time. Then the kick of the nuts of being in Scotland for two years my husband lost his job and we couldn't live on my salary so we both had to leave Scotland and our currently living together with my parents at their house back in England. So I've been struggling mentally with my creative drive hitting an all time low because I have no space to just go and be creative, but I'm at a point where I'm trying to pick myself back up and to get my shit together.
Which is why I'm back here, I've put it off long enough but now it's time because my book The Ember Lights: Compendium is actually done it's fully written and I even hired someone to edit it and now all it needs to is to be published, so I'm looking to do it through Amazon because its a lot more affordable and also it's quicker and if I don't it now I feel like I never will. So I've made an announcement that I'll be rebuilding the platform from Twitter (I'm not calling anything else) since it's become something that I'm not happy with and restarting on BlueSky (@thecampfire-embers.bsky.social) and promoting the upcoming book and future story projects on that platform, it'll be tough but I think a cleanse and restarting again will be good kind of like a clean slate.
That's another reason for this post because with the book stories being available on this site it makes sense to delete all the story post that are in the book, those that aren't which is R'lyeh and Karnak will remain since that they are not in the Compendium. But the others will be going very soon and then only available in the book when it releases.
So stay tuned and lets see what happens next hopefully something good and I can get back into creating new things.
much love
Martyn
