 Well damn I didn't think I see this page again, it's been a really long time well over 2 years but as I've said on other platforms, over that time a lot has happened of having to move home from England to Scotland, then having a little bit of a mental health break whilst up there and whilst doing that I found a reignited love for drawing which I've not done for a while so that has taken up a lot of my time. Then the kick of the nuts of being in Scotland for two years my husband lost his job and we couldn't live on my salary so we both had to leave Scotland and our currently living together with my parents at their house back in England. So I've been struggling mentally with my creative drive hitting an all time low because I have no space to just go and be creative, but I'm at a point where I'm trying to pick myself back up and to get my shit together. Hey Firelight Wanderers   Just a bit of an update haven’t been in the mood to write at the moment with work, increase in rent and bills, and all the shit that’s a been happening in the world my mental health took a right kick in the nuts a few weeks ago. However I’ve taken some time to refresh myself avoid the doom scrolling on Twitter and finally dusted of the keyboard of my laptop and ready to get back to it.

 Dear Firelight Wanderers Just wanted to say I hope that everyone has a great as possible festive period, the pandemic seems like its never ending but don't let it take from the love from friends and family and the festive cheer that comes with it.  Hey Firelight Wanderers It's been a while since I've posted on this blog, I've been keeping up with some activity on The Ember Lights twitter but the reason behind this long, very long break was that I went through an emotional moment were my motivation to write pretty much stopped. Over the lockdown I thought to myself that I have been pushing myself too far, when I released some of my stories in such short timeframes because I did them in bulk before creating The Ember Lights and I was worried about losing that momentum. So I forced myself to try and put a new story every month or so and it became too much when I ended up with no new ideas and a set deadline. Other things occurred with this blog were I was getting moments thinking what the hell is the point of carry on with all this, I won't go into the details of what caused me to feel this way but it has come up a few times since starting this blog were I've felt worthless, I even now years later still can'...

With R'LYEH finally completed I wanted to write a personal post about how this came to be. This story of eldritch horror and madness is dedicated to my sister STEVIE , as kids we were explored many horror based films even if we hadn't reached the correct film rating just yet. I think I was about 9 or 10 when mum introduced me to the movies like Predator and Aliens , sex was no no but spines being ripped out of a man's back was totally fine, our dad introduced us to things more of the spooky nature like The Haunting , Whistle and I'll Come to You , The Woman in Black . Over decades my sister and I have wandered through the dark corridors of horror including sneaking me in to see Blade II when I was not 18 but my big sister managed to sneak me in with a denim jacket if I recall to make me look older, we've been expanding our library of our favourite movie that have creeped us out ranging from John Carpenter's The Fog all the way to James Wan's The Conjuring...
